Jonathan Johnstone

Jonathan Johnstone has over 25 years of experience in repo and securities financing markets covering trading and client relationship management. Prior to joining Northcross Capital in 2017 he was a Director in equity financing and liquidity management for Royal Bank of Scotland and (following the sale of the business) in equity financing and derivative sales at BNP Paribas. During this 5 year period Jonathan’s responsibilities included managing liquidity, financing the equity capital markets business through trading repo, stock loan and equity derivatives and building key client relationships with pension funds, asset managers and other non-bank financial institutions. Prior to this Jonathan spent 15 years in various fixed income securities lending and repo trading roles, including 11 years running the BNY Mellon International Fixed Income trading book where he managed a team of traders and spearheaded product development and client relationship management.
