James Douglas

James Douglas joined Northcross in September 2024 and brings over 19 years of experience in financial markets. Throughout his career, he has held a diverse range of roles in both Fixed Income and Money Markets. Prior to his post at Northcross, James served as a Product Strategist at BlackRock, where he focused on European Fundamental Fixed Income portfolios and was instrumental in expanding the commercial reach of the desk.
Before joining BlackRock, James spent three years as a Sales Trader at Rabobank, facilitating transactions of money market and fixed income securities for institutional clients. Additionally, he has eight years of experience as a Portfolio Manager, first at Bank of New York Mellon and then at Legal and General Investment Management, where he managed money market and short-duration fixed income fund strategies across multiple currencies.
James is a CFA Charterholder and holds a Master's degree in Accountancy and Finance from Heriot-Watt University.
